Hi Nirmal, I have some follow up questions before I can help with your situation: 1. Are you trying to calculation peak heating and cooling loads, annual heating and cooling energy use, or both? 2. When you mention two different systems (cooling and heating), I'm assuming you are referring to air-side systems in TRACE and not plants, is that right? You won't see heating and cooling energy unless you create plants and assign the heating and cooling coils to the respective plants. You can have one system in TRACE that provides both heating and cooling (fan coil units, heat pumps, VAV systems, etc.) and assign your rooms to that system so that you don't have to choose between either heating or cooling for each room. Hopefully this helps you get closer to the solution. I can add my rooms only to either cooling or heating. How can I add rooms to both heating and cooling? Previously I had only cooling system yet the report showed both heating and cooling loads. However I did not give me energy results which is why I created a separate heating system hoping it would give me energy results as well since one of my past projects had only heating system and it did give me energy results. Thank You. Hello Alex, Thank You very much for your response. Basically I am trying to get develop energy modelling, analysis and usage as well as utility costs for 4 different set/options of HVAC system. Each option would have separate cooling and heating system. My 4 options are as below 1. Air cooled packaged AC for cooling with condensing/electric boiler for heating. 2. Water cooled packaged AC for cooling with condensing/electric boiler for heating. 3. Air cooled VRF system for cooling with condensing/electric boiler for heating. 4. Water cooled VRF system for cooling with with condensing/electric boiler for heating. So far I have load calculations for my space and want to get on energy stuff. To answer your question I?d say I would like to calculate both peak heating&cooling as well as annual heating and cooling energy use. Thank You. Best, Nirmal

Hello Nirmal, You would need four alternatives in the TRACE model and then setup your plants for each alternative according to your four options. Make sure you assign systems to plants and add utility rates in the define economics window. Additionally, alternatives 3 and 4 would need to change the system type to be Variable Refrigerant Flow. Good luck, Alex
