SHGC

All,

SHGC for all direction is 0.67 except North (0.25). Need to know from
which screen we can change the SHGC or SC by window placement direction
wise in the eQuest.

Thanks

Katherisan:

In the Wizard, you can call up to 3 window types and have them face any direction or directions you want. At this level, you will try to match your window characteristics to one of the listed windows in the screen (see attached screen capture).

I usually look up a glass in the library having an identical SHGC as the glass I want, and call out THAT glass in the GLASS-TYPE.

I assume you are you are submitting for LEED v2.2 and are following
ASHRAE 90.1-2004. If this is the case you do not need to model the north
SHGC any different than the others.

Katherisan, if you were in the detailed data mode, I would go to your
building shell and under the component tree there is a folder called
"Glass Types". I would create a window, call it "north windows", and
select the window from the library list that is the closest to your
window. You can then go to the spreadsheet and quickly assign the glass
type to each north-facing window.
