eQuest Training, New England

New England and Northern New York e-Quest Users:
If you've tried to find training in this area, you may have found, like us, that considerable travel and expense is required. Toward that end, we would like to invite Karpman Consulting (www.karpmanconsulting.net/index.html) for an e-Quest training session in Burlington VT in the spring of 2010 (targeting March). In order to determine if this is feasible, we need to get an idea of the number of people who would be interested in attending. It is a two day training course geared toward applying Appendix G to e-Quest models, understanding the reports/results and troubleshooting. Maximum 20 participants, each must bring a laptop with the latest version of e-Quest installed. Cost will be determined by the number of participants but could be $400-$500 per person (this is not a for-profit venture, we simply want to get training closer to Northeastern users). Please contact me directly if you are interested in attending or if you have any questions.
Here is a list of the objectives for the training course:
Quote:
Understand fundamentals of ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G modeling protocol ? Learn to navigate eQUEST User Interface ? Model sample building (proposed design) as per Appendix G using eQUEST Wizard and Detailed Modes ? Model Appendix G baseline for the building using eQUEST Parametric Runs. ? Explore eQUEST summary, detailed, and hourly reports ? Apply basic techniques to troubleshoot models and to increase modeling productivity
