eQUEST 3.64 and TMY2

All,

I'm using eQUEST version 3.64, and when I switch from WYEC2 weather data
sets to TMY2 data sets, the simulation pauses halfway through and will
not finish. The SIM file and the BDL file both get generated during the
partial simulation, but neither show any errors or warnings.

Has anyone else seen this behavior with TMY2 weather files in version
3.64?

Thanks,

I'm surprised that you're experiencing difficulties with TMY2 data,
since they've been around for 15 years. Which weather file were you using?
The only time I've ever experienced with DOE-2 stopping due to a weather
file was when the file had bad psychrometrics that were outside of
physical possibility.

Matt,

We can supply you with a new TM2 file for your site, if that will help get
you unstuck. Our new system builds them from the most recent 30 years of
hourly data pretty much right at your site of interest and they come in both
TM2 and EPW format (soon .BIN as well for DOE-2). While we are a commercial
service, I will get you this file at no charge if it helps you...perhaps you
will become a customer in the future.

Let me know.

I'm more interested in finding out why that weather file and/or
combination with the building file can cause DOE-2 to hang. If the
issue is just a faulty weather file, there are several alternatives for
New York NY - TMY, WYEC2, or TMY3. In fact, the TMY3 for New York in
*.bin format has been on my website
(http://www.whiteboxtechnologies.com/downloads/TMY3/NJ_NY_PA_TMY3.zip)
for over two years.
