(I am new to eQuest and this forum, so please be kind : ) )

I have been looking for information on how eQuest choose weather data for the city whose weather data are not available.

For example, I ran EEM for College Station, TX (just a sample run). While eQuest was running, it asked to download Austin TX weather data (AUSTINTX.bin; TMY2). I was wondering why it prompted to download Austin weather data, not Houston weather data. Distances from College Station to either Austin or Houston are approximately the same. I assume that it might be based on meteorological similarities, geographical similarities and such.

If anyone know criterion for selection of weather data or any documents that explains, please let me know. I read through all docs associated with eQuest and searched online, but couldn't find the answer.
