I'm trying to speed up my system and stop some issues with crashing and one of the ideas I've had is that my Quad 4 processor is part of the problem.
eQuest was written with single core processors in mind and therefore can't take advantage of the whole processor when it's been designed to work in fourths.
Has anyone tried formatting their processor to work as a single core rather than multi-core unit?
Have you seen any benefit to speed and stability?
Are there any other hardware/software configurations that seem to work better?
I am already running Windows 7/32 bit.
