I have searched the internet for this topic previously but did not find anything that told me explicitly how to properly estimate the savings. I model simple buildings with in the Detailed Design Schematic Wizard mode and then go into detailed edit mode to change the outdoor air control to DCV instead of based on fraction of total flow. Sometimes it gives me savings but other times it has caused an increase in electricity use for the entire building. I created a simple building in the Schematic Design Wizard and then switched it to DCV in the detailed edit mode and the space cooling energy requirements actually increased. Does anyone know why this is happening? I am assuming that I am not doing this the correct way and am unsure where I may be going wrong.
