in New York, NY and Danbury, CT specializing in the design of commercial &
institutional projects. The Firm is currently in search of an Energy
Analyst for our New York office.
Experience: minimum 2 years
Position Type: Full-time
Roles and Responsibilities:
? Participate in energy and carbon reduction studies for a wide
range of projects including museums, performing arts centers, institutional
projects, and masterplans
? Perform energy analysis to meet energy codes, green building
rating systems, and state and federal requirements
? Participate in energy audits and provide commissioning assistance
? Prepare technical reports for submission to client, code
officials, and local authorities
? Provide in-house technical assistance for energy conservation and
best practices for energy
? Develop presentations for marketing and client education
Qualified candidates ideally possess:
? Bachelor?s or higher degree in a field related to environmental
building design, architectural engineering, and/or building science
? Knowledge of active and passive HVAC systems
? 2+ years? professional experience in energy modeling
? Proficiency in energy simulation software such as eQuest, Energy
plus, IES, Trace, and Open Studio
? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
? Operational knowledge of the following software: Energy Plus,
Grasshopper, Revit, D3; or data visualization
? Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as good
inter-personal skills
? Experience with LEED, Passive House, and incentive & rebate
programs in NYC and CT
