Does anybody have any thoughts on why the HVAC industry is the most boring industry on earth? I mean, the lighting industry is super fun by contrast.

My take on this is that the HVAC industry has only been very big for about 50 years, meaning that the founders of the industry haven't retired yet (and obviously have seniority). The problem with this, is that these folks are stuck on the same old technologies that they pioneers.

Maybe it's just so boring because it is a total sausage fest?
