We have been instructed to use revit gbxml format for ies ve geometry. I think for simple models you can easily model on Model IT (if you are a good modeler) and for complex model, there will be a lot of editing work in ies ve and it is better to do in model it in the first place. I think when an energy modeler models the building himself, he or she understands the building which helps a lot.

What are the common issues you guys have faced while translating the model from revit to ies ve? How big was the model?

Do you recommend it? What are the common issues?
