IBPSA-USA Education Committee: QAQC for Energy Modeling
Despite their significance, quality control/assurance for energy models is
not standardized or common practice in the building performance simulation
world. This panel discussion brings together experts from the practitioner,
consumer, regulatory and academic side. The panelists will provide 5-7
minute presentations on their view of the QA/QC process and discuss further
need for improvement. There will also be time for audience questions.

Introduction to Loadmodeling.Tool, a New Feature for Mechanical Engineers -
Cove.Tool Webinar
This 60 minute presentation will introduced the new Load Modeling features
of cove.tool. The newly released functionality enables mechanical engineers
to transition from early-stage optimization studies to building load and
system sizing analysis without the need to change software. The platform
converts all early-stage inputs into an entirely new Load Modeling suite
using OpenStudio with EnergyPlus for the detailed calculations.

Guidelines and Projects for Building Data Exchange Integrity - IBPSA-USA
Building Data Exchange Subcommittee
IBPSA-USA's Building Data Exchange subcommittee is hosting a webinar
related to raising awareness of some guidelines and tools related to
building data exchange. The webinar will present the use case of ASHRAE
Guideline 20, the use of Schematron for schema validation specifically
focused on its use in BuildingSync, and a new development of a Schema
Server to better enable transforming and exchanging building data between
API-based applications.

Automated 2D Heat Transfer using Grasshopper - BSUG Event
The predominant tool for 2D heat transfer analysis is THERM which has a
toilsome interface for drafting and post-processing fa?ade details. The
proposed interoperable algorithmic modeling (IAM) workflow utilizes the
friendly drafting environment in Rhino as inputs to a Grasshopper (GH) file
that utilizes open source Ladybug Tools to set up, simulate and
post-process unique customizable heat transfer results.

IBPSA-USA Research Committee: A Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
Framework for Building Applications
This webinar presents a novel semantic representation and reasoning
framework for use in enhancing emerging building applications such as fault
detection and diagnostics (FDD), and commissioning (Cx). This framework
will enable the semantic integration of heterogeneous data from domains
such as occupancy, lighting, equipment, and utility for planning,
operation, and management purposes.
