Some of you may be interested in the second volume of the Daylighting Handbook that we just released on BuildingTechnologyPress.com. The book describes the science behind simulation programs such as DIVA and is divided into two parts, Daylight Simulations and Dynamic Fa?ades. Chapters 9 to 12 discuss how to predict the overall amount of daylight in and around buildings at any given site using manual methods and computer simulations. Chapters 13 to 16 present an integrated design analysis framework to evaluate fa?ades with dynamic shading and lighting systems that negotiate between occupant comfort and energy efficiency.
