We had to restructure the American Modelica Conference 2020, originally
scheduled for this past March, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
We have thus decided to convert the conference into an online event from
September 22nd to September 24th, which will comprise the paper and user
presentations, keynote talks, sponsor presentations, and panel and breakout
sessions. Updated event information, including a draft agenda, is
available on modelica.org.
dates will be announced shortly - they will also be held online around the
time of the conference, but these new dates have not been finalized yet.
Presentations will be pre-recorded in order to minimize technical issues,
but there will be sessions with live Q&A as in the similar conference. We
will also have ?Birds of a Feather? sessions to facilitate direct
interaction with other conference participants with similar interests. In
order to adapt to the online format, the conference will be running from
9:00 AM US Mountain time to 13:00 or 13:30 on three days to avoid a whole
day in front of a screen.
Since the online format has lower costs, we are happy to announce that
registration will be available at a much reduced price. Presenters and
participants from sponsor companies may attend for free, and the price for
other participants will be $30. Registration will be organized via
Eventbrite again, but is not yet available.
