Bldg Sim Mailing List Member,
ASHRAE, AIA, IES, USGBC, and DOE have partnered to write a series of Advanced Energy Design Guides that provide energy savings over minimum building codes. The guides are intended to help those involved in designing or constructing the various building types to easily achieve advanced levels of energy savings without having to resort to detailed calculations or analyses. The guides contain specific recommendations by climate zone and how-to tips and approaches that provide additional information on how to implement those recommendations.
The latest in this series provides 50% savings over ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004 for Medium to Big Box Retail Buildings. These guides go through two targeted peer reviews during their development in order to ensure that the information is useful and applicable to those who would use the guides. Your expertise would be very much appreciated by the project committee and your input during these reviews would help ensure that the finished guide is both relevant and beneficial to the retail industry.
This is a notice of the first Peer Review for the Technical Review Draft of the Advanced Energy Design Guide for Medium to Big Box Retail Buildings (50% Savings). This peer review is now open and will be held from Tuesday, May 31, 2011 through Tuesday, June 14, 2011. The review input form and instructions along with a copy of the Technical Review Draft document will be available for download from the ASHRAE AEDG web page during that time period (see www.ashrae.org/aedg
