• Homework: Draw a diagram describing connections in an EnergyPlus example file

Lesson 2: Building Geometry

• Key object types for building geometry
• Surface adjacencies and construction overview
• Drawing geometry in EP3
• Homework: Draw building geometry and modify it; optionally, diagram the resulting IDF

Lesson 3: Internal Loads

• Defining internal loads: People, Lights, Equipment, and Infiltration
• Managing internal loads with EP3 workflows
• Adding equipment for unique needs (e.g., data closets)
• Homework: Develop and assign internal loads to zones

Lesson 4: Troubleshooting and Verification Techniques

• Using output:variables to track key metrics
• Automatic output variable creation in EP3
• Visualizing results for zone temperatures and other variables
• Homework: Add and visualize a new output variable

Lesson 5: HVAC Systems - ZoneHVAC

• ZoneHVAC object connections and priority control
