Print eQUEST reports to PDF

So you have just completed an eQUEST run and you want to send your reports to a colleague by email. You are wondering, "how can I print to pdf?". (or maybe you are getting an error with your current pdf software).
Well, you could spend hundreds on special pdf software, but there's a free way to do this. You can even print all of your reports into one pdf!
How do I print to pdf for free?
- Download PDF printing software. We recommend free and lightweight PrimoPDF
- If Prompted about "NitroPDF reader" either uncheck it or read the notes below (it is nice software but not needed for this process).
- After installation, open and run eQUEST as usual
- Go to file and print
- Select "PrimoPDF" as your printer and click ok
- Then select Create PDF
- Set the directory and file name of the pdf you wish to save.
How do I combine my reports into 1 PDF?
- Print your first report, noting the name
- When printing the 2nd report, save it in the same location with the same file name
- You will get the option to Append or Overwrite
- Select Append
- Repeat the process until you have all of your desired reports in the PDF
IMPORTANT NOTES
Many people have trouble with Adobe products and printing to pdf in eQUEST. The typical error is "Could not start the print job". This error does not seem to happen with PrimoPDF and is why we recommend it.
PrimoPDF comes with a free and optional "NitroPDF reader" installation. It is a nice pdf reader that lets you edit your pdf's to some extent. HOWEVER, do not try to print eQUEST reports with NitroPDF reader. It will freeze your computer completely.
