Fellow Equest-Users,
I would greatly appreciate it, if someone would take a moment to explain the following:
Why doesn't eQUEST allow airside heat recovery with water loop heat pumps? HAP does allow this type of application.
I went through the archives and was unable to find an answer to my question.
Does anyone know of a work around using a WLHP?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to review my question,

Dennis,
Extract from eQuest Help;
"A water loop heat pump can also be modeled using a PVVT, PSZ or PVAVS system be selecting a HEAT-SOURCE as HEAT-PUMP combined with specifying that the CONDENSER-TYPE is WATER-COOLED. This alternate method of building a WLHP model allows the use of the many options that are available for those types of systems; many of those options are not available for the HP type of system."
So take a PSZ, a PVVT or a PVAVS depending on what you have. In doing so, these components act like a HP. This is one way to model what you want.

Instead of using the 'HP' system TYPE, try using the 'PSZ' or 'PVVT'
system TYPE. With HEAT-SOURCE = HEAT-PUMP and CONDENSER-TYPE =
WATER-COOLED (and connected to a LOOP of TYPE=WLHP) you will be
simulating a water source heat pump. These two system types support the
full DOE-2 ERV functionality.
