DHW in the DD Wizard - question

I am modeling multi-family builings with individual washing machines. When I
input a multi-family bldg. I initially got a DHW menu in the project
navigator. That option has now greyed out & I cannot get it back. Does
anyone know what triggers the activation of the DHW menu in the project
navigator?
thanks Mike

Mike,

The laundry facilities inputs show up only if your building type is
'Multifamily', which seems like you have.
The DHW Equipment tab/menu on the Project Navigator screen is tied to
the 'Non-HVAC Enduses to Model' screen. Please make
sure you have checked the 'Domestic Hot Water' on this screen. Hope this
helps.

I'm trying to model a PV array on a gigantic roof.

According to the criteria for MODULES-SERIES I should calculate the number of panels in my array by diving the max tracking voltage for the inverter by the max power voltage per panel
(in my case this is 600/78.3 = 7.66 = 7)

Additionally the criteria for MODULES-PARALLEL says that I should multiply the inverter capacity by the number of inverters, divided by the module capacity at the maximum power point, divided again by the number of modules in series.
(in my case this is (500kW*4)/(78.3V*2.55A/1000W/kW)/7 = 1430.9 = 1430) Unfortunately I cannot enter anything above 1000... any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi John,

The following document has some thermal and visual properties related to glass blocks. It shows VLT of 75%. So in my opinion, it should be modelled as it would lead to additional solar gains.

Hope this helps.
