The essential functions of a Senior Energy Analyst include consulting on holistic building performance from early conceptual planning through design and construction, and beyond during the buildings lifecycle.
As an analysist, you will work collaboratively with the design team to develop occupant comfort strategies and inform the conceptual direction of the building which includes elements such as massing and orientation, envelope assemblies, shading, and daylighting. You will analyze and consult on commercially available and advanced building systems to evaluate options, simulate performance, analyze results, develop recommendations, prepare financial analyses, and make presentations on the process and outcomes. Other functions will include developing life-cycle cost analysis, lead our 2030 challenge effort, consult on and prepare required reporting information for sustainable and incentive-based building performance programs. As an industry leader in technically complex building design you will be expected to maintain leading-edge knowledge of best sustainability practices and showcase thought leadership by writing blog posts, delivering presentations, being active in outside organizations, and educating and engaging with the A/E/C community.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) degree in engineering or architectural engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of applicable work experience.
- One or more credentials from The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), ASHRAE, or CABEC, LEED AP.
- Highly versed in building codes, energy incentive programs, and sustainable building programs such as Title 24, CALGreen, IECC, LEED, WELL, CHPS, - - - Living Building Challenge, etc.
- Proficient in energy simulation software such as OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, IES, Design Builder or eQuest and lighting tools such as Radiance and DIVA; With advanced knowledge in IES.
- Programming skills in Python is a plus.
