Produce energy simulations of prominent national and international buildings, reviews of energy modeling documentation provided as part of national and international LEED certification applications, and other tasks related to energy use in buildings.
Essential Functions:
-Provide energy simulations in eQUEST and other programs (Energy Plus, TRANE Trace)
-Read and understand of project documentation of energy-related systems / sustainable design / LEED, including energy modeling inputs and outputs, LEED templates and forms, calculations, specifications, and architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings
-Apply various LEED rating systems, including templates and documentation requirements, to the review of documentation and preparation of documentation
-Provide written comments and reports with excellent grammar and spelling
-Occasional building assessments for Energy Star ratings and other energy performance aspects
Qualifications:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
-Experience with at least 10 energy models including some using eQUEST
-Experience with LEED energy modeling protocol
-3 years related experience
-In-depth knowledge of various energy codes a plus
-BEMP Certification a plus
-Accreditation as a LEED AP with Specialty a plus
-Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analyses a plus
-Excellent verbal and written English language skills a must; additional language skills beneficial
