Hello,
I am modeling a building with underfloor air distribution system to determine LEED credits. I am following the methodology suggested by Energy design resources where part of the load is applied to the plenum. The basecase system for the building is a standard VAV with reheat with all the loads applied to the space.
My question is if it is acceptable to have proposed case modeled with part of the load applied to the plenum while the base case has all the load applied to the space.
The only rule that I see being violated is the fact that the setpoint should be the same for the base and proposed case. While in the basecase the whole load is cooled to the setpoint, in the proposed case only part of the load is cooled to the setpoint while the rest is allowed to float.
?
Does anyone have any experience submitting an building with underfloor system to USGBC.
thanks
Raj
