MID-LEVEL ENERGY MODELING PROFESSIONALS
The Cadmus Group, Inc. is seeking mid-level professionals for our Green Building (GB) practice with experience in energy modeling and ASHRAE 90.1. Mid-level professionals should have three or more years of experience. Daily activities include consulting on LEED and energy modeling projects, reviewing LEED certification applications (primarily EA credit 1), supporting federal, state and municipal energy programs, reviewing standards and codes, creating and manipulating spreadsheets and databases, working with standard software packages to benchmark building energy use, offering technical support to organizations, training and writing reports and other documents. This position involves extensive work with the ENERGY STAR platform for residential and commercial buildings, and working with LEED Accredited Professionals (APs) to review designs and operational practices in new and existing buildings for maximum sustainability.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver who is able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced consulting environment. This position is located in our Arlington, VA or Salt Lake City, UT office and will require some travel (5-15%).
Minimum requirements:
* B.S. Mechanical Engineering, or related field with at least 5-7 years of extensive energy modeling and ASHRAE 90.1 experience in lieu of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
* Energy modeling and ASHRAE 90.1 experience (Design + Construction EAc1 submittal or review experience a plus)
* Hands-on experience with common energy modeling software (eQuest, Trace 700, HAP, EnergyPlus, EnergyPro, etc.)
* LEED Accredited Professional (AP) with at least 3 years of LEED-related experience
* Academic or field experience with building audits (ASHRAE and green building)
* Commitment to green building and sustainability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Proven analytical skills
* Ability to work well independently and in teams
Optional but desirable attributes:
* At least 1 year of experience reviewing applications for LEED certification with USGBC, GBCI, or a Certification Body
Spanish language ability
* Field experience in existing home remodeling or renovations
* Familiarity with California Title 24
