Commercial Building Energy Modeler

A qualified professional is required to provide energy analysis for LEED
rated commercial buildings. Work would primarily focus on energy
modeling in EQuest/DOE2 to support the LEED (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design) process for high profile projects in the Middle
East and Asia. The position will be based in our New York office.
Position Requirements
* 2 years experience carrying out energy simulations for LEED
rated commercial buildings
* Familiarity with the LEED process
* Understanding of building performance and building science,
including HVAC systems
* Knowledge of energy efficiency principles and ASHRAE 90.1-2004
* Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering
drawings
* Aptitude for writing technical reports following a standard
format and presenting technical concepts to project team members
* Ability to organize and run several projects at once
Candidate Requirements
Experience or familiarity with modeling software tools is essential.
Detailed training in LEED requirements for analysis will be provided.
Candidates must have an interest in low energy, high performance
commercial buildings and a willingness to learn. Compensation is
commensurate with experience.
