Hotel buildings

Dear All,
I wanted a quick opinion from some of you who have worked with hotel buildings.
Do these generally require similar heating and cooling energy?

I was surprised to find this happening for Houston, TX, following 90.1 schedules and other protocol. I tried it with a more temprate climate but with similar results. The WWAR on the building is at 16%.

Thanks,

Kapil.

Are these numbers from the BEPS report? If you check the SS-D report,
you will probably find that the cooling is higher than heating. The
cooling in BEPS report will be 1/3-1/4th of the actual cooling load
depending on the COP of your cooling device.

Hi Kapil,

You could refer to the benchmarking models developed by DOE.

If that URL does not work for you, try:
