Does anyone know why I cannot model a VAV AHU with a steam loop/boiler
for space heat?
It is a central AHU with zone boxes, therefore I am modeling (1)
Air-Side HVAC System.
When reviewing the output consumption using this configuration I do not
see any energy consumption for space heat, but when I switch to a
furnace instead of the steam I am able to produce logical /practical
consumption numbers. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance.

To simulate steam, you have to have a hot water loop with 0 kW pumping.
Also, if you really want a steam boiler..(from the DOE-2.2 Help menu..)
TYPE
Takes a code-word that specifies the type of boiler. This required
keyword should be the first keyword entered. Allowed values of TYPE are:
HW-BOILER Hot water boiler.
HW-BOILER-W/DRAFT Hot water boiler with draft fan.
ELEC-HW-BOILER Electric hot water boiler.
STM-BOILER Steam boiler.
STM-BOILER-W/DRAFT Stream boiler with draft fan.
ELEC-STM-BOILER Electric steam boiler.
Note that the steam boilers are modeled identically to the hot water
boilers, except that their efficiencies are lower.
