Equest-users Digest, Vol 35, Issue 25

Hi James,

I have not yet submitted a model under the new version of LEED NC or for any commercial project for that matter, but I will share how these savings are accounted for under the LEED for Homes Midrise program for residential apartments 4-6 stories in height. This program references the ENERGY STAR High Rise program.

Savings can be taken for the following items:

-Low flow lavatory faucets
-Low flow shower heads
-ENERGY STAR dishwashers
-ENERGY STAR clothes washers

Please see Section 3.11 of the attached standard for savings calculations. Given the different use profiles, I wouldn't use these guidelines for anything other than multifamily residential, but I hope they are of some help.

Good luck,

Robert Stephenson, LEED AP
