Training: Using eQUEST for Improvement-Driven Modeling in Existing Buildings
eQUEST is an easy-to-use building energy simulation tool. Although eQUEST is
primarily applied to new construction, it can also be used to apply the
principles of energy modeling to conserving energy in existing buildings.
This training will be targeted towards users already familiar with eQUEST,
giving attendees the skills needed to apply an improvement-driven modeling
approach to enhancing existing buildings in an effort to identify and reduce
energy waste. The focus will be on public assembly spaces, offices, public
order, and public safety spaces.
Class Topics Include:
* Improvement-driven modeling in existing buildings
* Simple meter arrangements in complex HVAC systems
* Trued-up modeling
