Energy Modeling Training - Sept 16th-18th

Dear Modeler,

We are holding an introduction to energy modeling training (Modeling 101)
September 16th and a new construction eQUEST energy modeling training
(Modeling 202) September 17th-18th that may be of interest to you.

Modeling 101 is a one-day training that familiarizes building professionals
including architects, engineers, building code officials, and administrators
with the fundamental concepts of whole building energy simulation, the
energy modeling protocols of ASHRAE Standard 90.1, and the various
applications of energy modeling including design optimization, demonstrating
compliance with energy code, LEED certification, incentive program
participation, and documenting federal tax deductions for commercial
buildings.

Modeling 101 qualifies for 7 continuing education hours for LEED AP/GAs,
registered architects, AIAs, and professional engineers.

Modeling 202 is a two-day training that covers ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G energy
modeling in eQUEST, as used in USGBC's LEED NC program for EA Credit 1 and
Prerequisite 2 documentation. Appendix G modeling is also used in many state
incentive programs and for documenting the federal tax deduction for energy
efficiency (EPAct, Section 179D).

The training is hands on; there will be a lecture portion as well as an
exercise portion that attendees will perform along with the instructor.

The training is eligible for 14 continuing education hours for LEED AP/GAs,
registered architects, AIAs, and professional engineers, as well as 14
in-service hours for New York State code officials.
