Two HVAC systems per zone workaround

1 post / 0 new

Hello All,

I have a university building on the campus that is served by DOAS, two-pipe fan coils, active floors (heating and cooling), chiller and 'purchased steam'. Fresh air from DOAS is supplied to fan-coils which supply spaces with mixture of fresh and recirculated air.

Please could you tell me if my workaround for creating two systems per zone (fan-coil and radiant heating) has any sense. Similar approach to creating a DOAS, I thought first to create child spaces that will have the same characteristics as parent spaces. Next in Air-Side HVAC section to create child thermal zone and assign it created child space. Now I can select second system for example radiant slabs and my parent zone would have fan-coil type. Can this approach work? If not do you please have any idea how to do it?

Also I could not find how to model chilled floors?

Many thanks!
