Input function with daylight factors for accurate, daylight analysis

1 post / 0 new

Hi Bill,

I usually use 3D Max for daylight analysis, its daylight engine is same
as Daysim. The reason behind it is that I can use 100% of the model
(like the example attached on previous email) from revit / vasari
without creating any additional geometry, + weather file from location
where daylight study is under analysis.
In that regards, I export all meters to excel spreadsheet where I
usually manipulate with them.
Good side of it, it is fast since you are using two very easy to link
softwares, no need to rekreate complex geometry
Bad side of it - we are talking about $5,000 +/- software, whereas
eQuest and Daysim are for free
I find it easier to model in Vasari, free autodesk software, then export
to Max or eQuest if needed.
