Dear colleagues,
As Olympic fever grabs the UK (and the world!), the Journal of Building
Performance Simulation ( www.tandf.co.uk/journals/TBPS
putting together a special issue on the topic of Olympic venues (further
details below). If anyone wishes to submit a paper for consideration
(not confined to the UK - any Olympic venue worldwide is fine) please
let the editor know as soon as possible. Thank you.
"This Special Issue of the Journal of Building Performance Simulation
invites contributions which address the building performance of Olympic
Venues - especially those for London 2012 - across the different
building simulation domains: thermal behaviour (energy and comfort),
ventilation and air flow, lighting, fire and evacuation, acoustics, and
integrated views that combine these domains. Papers are welcome that
address different levels of spatial resolution, covering Olympic
buildings and their components, Olympic sites and the urban environment
beyond these sites. Contributions may cover different levels of
innovation, starting from regular engineering application (fitness for
purpose checks) to more innovative studies that deal with topics such as
urban development and planning, climate change, sustainability and reuse
of facilities after the end of the games."
Please send all abstracts / titles and queries to Pieter De Wilde (
