The nomination period for the IBPSA-USA Board of Directors is now open!
IBPSA-USA holds elections every two years for members of the Board, and we
ask that members submit nominations for themselves, or others. The election
of board members will take place*January 12, 2019* at the IBPSA-USA Winter
Meeting in Atlanta.

*Wayward Award Finds Home 2 Years Later: MIT Professor Receives Belated
Recognition*
In 2016, *Professor Christoph Reinhart* was announced as the recipient of
IBPSA-USA's*Distinguished Achievement in Building Simulation award* during
the 2016 SimBuild conference. Unfortunately, Professor Reinhart was not
able to make it to Salt Lake City to receive the award in person. Now, over
two years later, his award plaque has made it to Cambridge. Investigations
continue into the the plaque's whereabouts during its two-year absence, but
all are happy it has found its way home.
*A Shift in BTO?s BEM Strategy: A New Future for the OpenStudio Application*
After a year-long discussion with industry stakeholders, including the
IBPSA-USA Advocacy Committee, BTO has decided to transition responsibility
for management, development, distribution, and support of the OpenStudio
Application to third parties by April 2020.

IBPSA-USA offers a growing library of educational videos and webinars, and
online access is currently*free for IBPSA-USA members*. Members who sign up
or renew before October 1, 2018 will continue to receive free access at the
current dues of $45 per year for the term of their membership, which may be
up to two years. *So sign up or renew today!*
Starting on October 1, 2018 the total cost of IBPSA-USA membership and
video access will be $100 per year. The IBPSA-USA Board of Directors
determined that the increase is necessary to help sustain this service to
the industry. They hope that you agree that this is a modest cost for a
valuable resource.
