DESCRIPTION

Life Cycle Design is an integrative design method that uses life cycle assessment to assess every single impact of a product or process over its entire life span. This approach is sometimes referred to as "cradle to cradle" if it accounts for full recycling or "cradle to grave" if it ends in disposal. For the built environment, life cycle assessment allows quantifies and measures all aspects of the environmental impacts of project, and identifies the hotspots that can be improved.

eToolLCD is the only web-based open use Life Cycle Assessment software currently available for use on building projects. eTool and users of eToolLCD will be able to quickly and effectively prioritise the most effective strategies towards truly sustainable, zero carbon projects. LCA has also seen rising interest in the construction industry with the release of International Standards (EN15978) and credit recognised in environmental assessments such as BREEAM, LEED and Green Star.

eTool LCD Engineer Pat Hermon will be hosting this one hour webinar that will cover the basics of LCA, the eToolLCD software, and how it applies within rating schemes.
