Calculating SHGC projection factors

I'm looking for documentation on how projection factors for SHGC are derived. I'm referring to the SHGC multipliers for permanent projections given in ASHRAE 90.1 (page 5-27 of user's manual)
Any help on the topic is much appreciated,
