AECOsim Energy Simulator - Hands-on Workshop lead by Dru Crawley, Director, Building Performance at Bentley Systems

In this hands-on workshop the user will learn the fundamentals and advantages of Bentley's AECOsim Energy Simulator. This includes the following: creating a new project, navigate the easy to use interface, import a BIM model and use a 2D CAD file to build the energy model, automatically create ASHRAE 90.1 baseline and budget buildings, Enter detailed data including building, site, weather and room information, Zone the energy model, Create, modify and apply HVAC systems graphically using EnergyPlus components, ASHRAE RTS peak load calculations, ASHRAE Appendix G reports, Export LEED output file for energy, Annual Energy Simulation using EnergyPlus v7.1. This class is recommended for energy engineers, mechanical engineers, energy modelers and anyone else interested in building energy modeling.
