Dear All,
I'm thrilled to announce the details for the upcoming IBPSA-Houston
conference led by Laia Gimeno, the Houston Chapter president. We're on our
7th Performance Huddle and it's shaping up to be an insightful and
educational experience. The conference is happening on Oct. 21, and it's
fully online.
One of the highlights includes a comprehensive *workshop *by Nathan Kegel
from IESVE, titled "Using building performance analysis throughout the
design process with IESVE.". Nathan will showcase everything from
early-stage load calculations to thermal comfort modeling in compliance
with ASHRAE standards. A live demonstration will also be conducted to
illustrate how IESVE can automate and streamline the modeling process.
Two esteemed *keynote speakers* will be sharing their knowledge with us:
1. Dr. Dru Crawley from Bentley Systems, presenting on "What?s Up With the
Weather ? Finding Current and Future Climatic Data."
2. Dr. Zoltan Nagy from the University of Texas at Austin, speaking on "AI
in Buildings."
Additionally, we have *four engaging presentations* lined up:
1. "Four-dimension Building Performance Analysis: Analyzing Climate Change
Impact on the Performance of High-Efficient Buildings" by Mitra Azimi from
Gensler.
2. "Uncertainty in Climate Projections: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying
and Embrace the Known Unknowns" by Parag Rastogi from CEPT University.
3. "Collaboration leading to innovation" by Luis Matias Barajas Salda?a
from Perkins&Will.
4. "Embodied Carbon Interpretations: What am I looking for?" by Rosa
Carolina Martell from Gensler.
The conference registration is offered at a nominal fee of $10, with a
