Colin Evans is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a BS in Mechanical Engineering where he took specialty courses in Sustainable Design in Architecture, HVAC Engineering, and Entrepreneurial Engineering. His ambition to protect the health of the earth for future generations has been the significant factor in driving his career choices. Mr. Evans is the founder of Conscious Energy Engineering Consulting, LLC, which has been in business since December, 2012. His business focuses on energy modeling, LEED consulting, and energy auditing for new and existing buildings. His previous experience includes energy modeling and load calculations using TRACE 700, plumbing and HVAC design using AutoCAD and REVIT, building automation system design and commissioning, and even a lot of hands-on field experience in construction management. Colin enjoys exploring the mountainous terrain all around him by means of telemark skiing, mountain biking, backpacking, kayaking, and rafting. He also is involved in Engineers Without Borders, where he is currently volunteering on a project to provide solar hot air equipment to rural communities on the Navajo reservation.
