Now it's magic time. We worked for quite a while to create one VAV system. We created air loops,we created multiple plant loops. But, you know, if you do it for each enabled project it can it can take forever. If you remember, I mentioned you earlier about OpenStudio measures. Well, these measures are magic for you guys, for energy modelers. They can reduce your workload significantly. I'm going to show you how to create some OpenStudio HVAC components using these measures. Right now, I am on this plant, this file, here.I'm going to save a new file out of it. Save as, let's say, HVAC measures, okay, save it. And, just for simplicity, I'm going to delete this VAV air loop first. Delete it, and delete the second air loop, delete the chill water loop, delete the condensing loop, delete the hot water loop. I don't have anything else right now. I have this, service hot water empty template, I have this refrigeration empty template, and I have this VRF empty template. If I go to this, thermal zones, these, this thermal zone, what is it, tab. I also want to remove these existing PTHP systems. I can just, go to one by one. Either just go one by one to select these ideal air loads for each and every thermal zone. Or, you can just go to measures, and run one ideal air load measure, okay. Let's just do this thing real quick, here. We don't have a lot of zones it seems. I can just assign air loads real quick hereitself, okay. There is some lag, but like,, you know, you'll get used to it, and OpenStudio will get better while time. Now, Idon't have any HVAC component, any HVAC system, here. What if, if I want to create one VAV hot water system within, let's say, 30 seconds.Go to components and measures. Find measures, or actually, apply measures now, not find measures. You must have already downloaded those measures that I have already asked you earlier. Go to apply measures, save your model. And, again, you know, it will take some time to bring all the information for you. I have almost 400 or 500 measures. It needs to collect all the information for them.It takes some time for me. If you have less measures, it can take less time for you, okay. In whole systems, if I go to,let's say, this one,VAV with hot water re-heat, that's my measure that I have. Apply measure, now. And, it's creating the measure for you. It's executing these scripts for you, here. You can see, it says running measure here, on your screen. Basically, it's trying to execute some stuff for you. It says, success. If I accept the changes. Well, this measure was created by meso it doesn't show you any initial or final conditions. I mean, I know what are the initial and final conditions for my measure, so I don't waste my time in really, writing all those additional scripts. But, you can always make them sophisticated. I can show you some other sophisticated measures that you can download directly from BCL library. And now you can see, I have this air loop, here. These air loops for each and every floor. I have just one air loop, for now, if I go to HVAC system tab. See, I have one VAV with hot water reheat, one air loop just for floor one, it seems. And then, there's another reheat loop for floor 2, or floor 3, as well, okay. And then, I have chilled water loop, you can see. Chiller pump, bypass pipes, I have two coils, both attached to two air loops on set point manager. Same with condenser loop. I have one cooling tower, single speed this time. Then I have on set point manager, which is different from last one, it is a follow outdoor air temperature schedule set point manager. It'sa different kind of set point. Then hot waterloop, okay. You can see, it's a great start. I can run the simulation and it will work for me, I know this. Let me run another measure for you.I'm just going to delete all of them for you now. I always like to remove the unwanted information first before I move further, because if you run measure on this now it might not even delete the existing stuff, okay. And, when you run the simulation you can find errors. Make sure that you clean your model first before you move to the next step, okay. Now, you can see, Idon't have any measure here, I'm sorry, any loop, here. If I go to thermal zones, I need not to worry about assigning air loads, for now. I mean, that was just optional. If I go to apply measure now, save my model. And, let's see, what other measures can I run for you. It takes some time to, again, like, process all the information in the background. If I go to HVACs again, go to whole system. And, let's say, if I bring, let me find it, find something interesting for you, okay. You can see this system 7 VAV reheat. I want to run this for you because you can download it directly from BCL library it says BCL here. Now, it is very sophisticated. It gives you a description,it asks you inputs. Hey do you want to provide some ceiling return air plenum. You can select the system, or the space type. Do you have any cost associated, you can provide it. You also want to apply recommended availability and ventilation schedules for air handlers. Guys, this word is a tongue twister for me. I always like to avoid saying this word, sorry about this. Apply measure now. It will bring all the ventilation requirements and measures as per ASHRAE 62.1 standard. It's running this script for you. And again, as I mentioned, this is a very sophisticated measure that you can download from BCL library. I also want to show, you can see now it says initial condition with zero air loops and zero plant loops. And, the final condition is two air loops and two plant loops. Two is two floors, okay. Accept change, and let's say, does it create the exact same information, what we created earlier. You can see, they'reair loops, they're properly named. Building story one, building story two. Go to thermal zones,I'm sorry, the next step which is HVAC system tab, and voila. Can you see, two ASHRAE air loops, building story one. They have two coils, one fan, one set point manager, which is different this time, warmest. It gives you two minimum and maximum set point temperatures and asks you the maximum value, here. And then, again, hot water box, reheat boxes. Then ASHRAE chiller. You can see all the values as per ASHRAE 6.09, that it has nice nicely done these, done chiller curves. Then you have pumps. These pumps are have different values from the default one, which we saw last time. The default one was 60 feet, but this time OpenStudio did all the calculations for you based on ASHRAE 90.1 appendix G. Hot water loop, the boiling values are as per ASHRAE. It has its own outdoor air reset temperature. You can see all these values are as per ASHRAE. It doesn't have any condenser loop. Well, you can always create something, okay. Components and measures, again. I mean, I can show you some more stuff. Let's clear these existing ones now, okay. Go to components and measures, apply measure now, save your model. Again,it's a very, it's, it will be very good for you guys to go through all those measures. They are very powerful. I really want you guys to try your hands on these measures and ask me questions, okay. There are so many of them, I can't show each and every measure here, but I'm just trying to show you the important ones that you can download from BCL. What else can you download from BCL. You can create something like ground source with dedicated outdoor system, which I will show you in my next class, okay. Then what else can you download. Water source heat pump from dedicated outdoor system. The one which I have, which I created for my own project, or, for my own projects, there's something like, chill beam with dedicated outdoor system. I can show you how it works. Click on it. And, you know what, let me let me not confuse you right now. I can show you this in my last, in my previous class, in my next class, sorry. What else can we do here. I can create something like, let me just go through this list again for you. I'm just trying to find something which makes more sense to you for this class, okay. I think that's good enough for now. I don't want to confuse it with a lot of information, because I want to explain to you water source heat pump or outsource heat pump first, before we jump on this, okay. I think that's good for now.I'm just going to close this. But, please practice whatever measures youhave. You can always reach back to us. We can give, we can provide you a package or measure,OpenStudio measures package in a reasonable cost, so that it can save you time. In case you don't have any measure to run fan coil unit system, or any different, any other system. Please reach back to us and we'll provide you more information, okay. Save this file, here. I'm going to save it, here. And, in my next video, we'll create one domestic hot water system, okay. Thank you.
