I am getting a heat load in the middle of the cooling season.? I don't believe it.? the system is VAV, chilled water with reheat coils at the boxes only.? Office Building?in a semi-tropical zone (3).?

I understand that I should be able to turn the heat off/make unavailable, but the instructions on how seem cryptic.....that or my brain is overloaded.? Can someone provide a quick answer ton how to do it?

Thanks!

Hi Paul,

Click through all the tabs in the Heating inputs and make sure you don't have any supplementary heat in there that shouldn't be included. I believe eQuest add a supplementary furnace automatically to all systems and you have to remove it. I hope this helps.

Setting Maximum Heating Rate to 1 Btu/h gets rid of heating. On air-side
hvac zone parameter screen, under heating tab. Change 1 time using your
screen then find it under the spreadsheet option where you can copy and
paste.

Note: you may still see a heating load on SV-A but you should have no
heating energy use.

Another issue comes to mind: how to do this using a schedule so you can have
heat when you want it.

Peace,
Carol
