Exterior Lighting in the Detailed Interface

I am modleing an existing building and I input the exterior lighting power
density in the wizard. I am now in the detailed interface and can't seem to
locate where this is so I can edit the values. Anybody have an idea where I
can find it?

Thanks,

Hello eQuesters,

Sorry to use the board for this but I am in dire need of some help. I am working with an AE firm in Green Bay, WI and we are looking to replace a Mechanical Engineer that recently left. Unfortunately, we have not found the talent that we are looking for locally so we are opening up the search on a national level. I have included a job description to look through in case anyone is interested. We will pay someone what they need but they need to be committed to the Green Bay, WI area. Please help if you know anyone!

Gregory,

In detailed data edit mode, go to the Utility & Economics tab, select the
electric meter from the component tree. The exterior lighting load should
be in the direct loads tab of the electric meter properties dialogue box.
You can assign interior and exterior direct loads, schedules, and end uses
from this dialogue box.

To whom it may concern:

This board/forum is for educational and training purposes on E-Quest ,and should not be used for job recruitment.

I have joined other technical board and/or forums, and I have seen and experienced how detrimental the above could be if it is used for something else than what was intended for.

Sincerely

ECHC

Posting Guidelines

Any subscriber can post any message on the mailing list. Please indicate in the subject line what simulation program you are asking about. The host and owner of this list is not moderating, filtering or editing any message sent to the list. Instead the subscribers to the list should follow these simple guidelines:

* Be courteous.
* No discussion outside building energy simulation.
* Announcements of building simulation product availability are welcome and encouraged.
* Do not try to sell any other products on the mailing list (no spam is tolerated).
* Job announcements are welcome but are restricted to one posting per month.

To put my two-cents in, I think it is appropriate to use the board for job openings unless the administrator informs us otherwise.

Mr. Chavez-Castro will also turn to this mailing list when he is in dire
need of a job, like many others are today.

They can be found as "direct loads" on your electric meter.

My two cents:

Cent #1 ? I think it?s appropriate to post job openings here. I do agree with the guidelines of not more than one per month.

Cent #2 ? I?m not sure the eQUEST users list is the right place for this seeing as the job requirements are for proficiency in HVAC programs like Carrier HAP. The Bldg Sim list might be more appropriate (rather than an eQUEST specific list).

I am sorry if I upset anyone and I respect this board and what it is
for. I have plenty of job openings that I will never post on this list,
however, this specific position has been a challenge because of the list
of skills. I will check into Bldg Sim list, thanks Sami!

I established the guideline "job announcements are welcome
but are restricted to one posting per month" to try to
balance overall scope of the onebuilding.org mailing lists
(such as eQUEST-users) with the needs of specific people in
the simulation community that may be currently looking for a
job. I hope the guideline is fair and does not discourage
people from participating in the technical discussions. If
you have comments or would like to change this guideline,
please let me know.

If it wouldn't be too much effort, could a separate mailing list be
created for energy/HVAC engineering jobs?

Jason,

For what it's worth and since you asked, I feel the current guideline is well written and appropriate to this and the other onebuilding.org mailing lists. I'd feel differently if any individual abused the system, but you've made clear anyone violating the guideline would be removed. I for one hope the current policy remains in place, as this is a uniquely appropriate forum for those seeking employees to find a certain skillset.

The opportunities that do get posted here are certainly not there to a point of obtrusiveness in my humble opinion. If it grew to such a state someday, a separate job-posting/seeking board (like a BBS, not a mailing list) might be appropriate to have on the onebuilding.org site to prevent issues with our spam filters and such.

I like the postings-it helps to keep in tune with the industry's demand for
whole building simulation services and the growth we are making as
professionals. The policy is perfect so that it eliminates repetition of
postings.

I agree with Pasha, Nick and others. It seems that the simplest solution is
to read the post if you're looking for work, otherwise simply delete it.
Would that all our problems were so easy.
Kudos, Nick, on the use of obtrusiveness in a sentence!
