Air to Air- Split System Heat Pump

Hello,

I am trying to model a packaged roof mounted heat pump and a split system
heat pump unit. Both of these are air to air systems.

I am new to HVAC system modelling on eQUEST. The project is a multi family
building, where each unit is equipped with a split system heat pump. hence I
modeled each apartment as a separate zone.

If there are any tutorials or online links which would be helpful, I would
glad for any such information.

Thank You

Hi everyone,

I have a (hopefully simple) question on how to model a senior living center HVAC system. Central natural gas boiler provide heating which is delivered through baseboards and cooling is provided by through-wall AC units (one per each apartment).

I've modeled the system as Cooling: DX coils; Heating: None; System Type: PTAC (no heating). I'm currently in the DD Wizard so on Wizard Screen 6 I've selected Baseboard source as Hot Water Loop.

I'm hoping that someone can confirm this is the correct way to model this system.

Thanks very much.

Alex,
Sounds good so far. Make sure you select "System per Zone" for the PTAC
system.

Alex,
You have not said if or how you are ventilating these spaces.

Bill- I did do that, thanks for checking.

Paul- The building engineer hasn't said there was any separate ventilation system so I assumed that the through wall AC would take care of the ventilation. Does the eQUEST PTAC system not include ventilation?

Thanks for your help!
