Window Heat gain - Shading Coefficient

I need to calculate shading coefficient of a window glass with and without the effect of a shading fin. I could not find any software that does this for me so this is how I'm trying to calculate it: Calculate window heat gain for both cases from Eplus and then perform a manual calculation to get shading coefficient of the window. Since the shading coefficient is the ratio of solar heat gain admitted through the glass as compared to the solar heat gain admitted through 1/8" clear glass (1/8" clear glass = 1.0 Shading Coefficient) under similar conditions... so If I simulate the base case as 1/8" clear glass... and then calculate the ratio.. I should get my result... (?)

Did anyone of you face this kind of a scenario before? Can you please shed some light on this?
Would you know of any tools that does this kind of simulation?
Any input is highly appreciated!

Hi,
I think the software Helios developed by LBNL would be helpful.

Another suggestion: you can pick up some glazing/window samples from the envelope library in the help files of eQUEST. I have calculated the shading coefficient of some devices for the city of Guangzhou, China. If you like, I can send them to you.

Go to www.chhayaonline.org and try out the beta version. Attached is
the PDF version of the technical paper we wrote for the ASES conference
earlier this year. The program is still in development - especially the
weather import tools, but this might be exactly what you are looking
for. If you need, I can send you the weather file you need.

If you look at section 4.0 (pg 3) of the paper, it describes how the
effective shading coefficient is calculated based on the profile angle
and the window overhang. The program allows you to play around with the
overhangs and updates the shading coefficient matrix real time.
