Has anyone successfully applied window switching in eQuest? I'm trying,
and it crashes, regardless of whether I try and enter the parameters in
eQuest or in the DOE-2 input file. Just trying a simple TOT-SOL-INC
variable, but none of the switching methods seem to work. I can define
the switched window manually, but as soon as I try and select a switch
type, it crashes.
Anyone else experience this? Thanks!
(I searched for this, found a few references to eQuest crashing, but no
fixes)

Which window pair are you using from the library ?
You have to make sure you use the right pair else it will crash .
Also confirm that you selected the clear as your window type and then chose the tinted as switch type
Thank you Deepika. Just found this in the Topics PDF:
The GLASS-TYPE keyword accepts the U-name of the glass types for the unswitched (clear) state and GLASS-TYPE-SW accepts the U-name of the glass type for the
fully switched (colored) state. Both of these glass types have GLASS-TYPE-CODE > 1000 and must be chosen from the library (see "Window Library Method").
An error will result if the number of glass layers is different for GLASS-TYPE and GLASS-TYPE-SW.
So it looks like you can't model simplified U-value/SC windows.

yes that's correct.
The switching capability doesn't work for simplified windows.
Pls let me know if you still have trouble modeling this.
Thanks
