Does anyone know of a way to edit a DOE-2 weather file by degree days? This would eliminate having to enter all weather variables (cloud cover, wind speed, etc.).
What do you mean by editing by degree days? There are ways to edit a DOE-2 binary weather file, but it requires several steps and not something for the timid :-)
See if this is what you are looking for. Open http://bepan.info/weather
and then 12 - Template - Beijing ? DOE2-Weather-Analysis - Long
under C1a - INSTRUCTIONS - DOE2 Wthr - *.dat - *.bin - *.xls
You might also want to look at 2 - TEMPLATE - Sum (Ti,Ts~To, Wi,Ws~Wo & Hi,Hs~Ho) 8760 Hrs?
under C1c ?Excel Weather-Analysis of Converted DOE2.bin file

Could someone explain to me what is editing a weather file by degree days? Changing all
the hourly temperatures and humidities based on a difference in degree days (monthly?
daily? annual?) ? Good luck in trying, but I don't see any credible way to do that.
