Understanding meter description

1 post / 0 new

Hello Friends,

Here is an brief below from the help menu for electric meter on a
electric generator. Attached is the image for your reference.
I have assigned all electric submeters to this meter which clock energy
consumption in the building.
Can anyone help me understand what will this account in the BEPU report.

Volume 2: Dictionary > HVAC Components
> ELEC-GENERATOR > Energy
Consumption of the Generator *ELEC-METER *
Accepts a code-word specifying the electric meter the generator will
supply. The electric meter must be of type UTILITY or ELECTRIC-SALE. A
generator cannot be attached to a BUILDING or SUB-METER level meter.
When this meter is of type UTILITY,power produced by the generator will
be consumed on-site to meet this meter's demands. Depending on the
operating mode of the generator(s), it might be possible for the
generator(s) to produce more power than is demanded by this meter. In
this case, you should also specify a SURPLUS-METER so that the power can
be sold; otherwise the surplus power will be lost.
When this meter is of type ELECTRIC-SALE, then all power produced by the
generator will be sold; none will be consumed on-site.

Thanks in advance.
