That was a disappointment. I was expecting to learn "how to develop
complex energy models and effective modeling workflows, apply
crowd-sourced model components and improvements, and analyze models to
rapidly identify design and improvement opportunities, and more.." I
got none of that. What I got was a overview of the capabilities and a
slide show with static slides. The speaker said the software would do
those things, but did not demonstrate anything. Basically, the same
information I already got from the OpenStudio web site. When audience
members asked for specifics and demonstrations, a call screener said
answers would be provided later. The speaker spoke too fast and
finished almost 30 minutes early. There was plenty of time to do at
least a simple demonstration.

I'm wondering if NREL chose the right people to provide OpenStudio
training. Based on their performance last Thursday, I'd say no.

I would agree with the assessment below. It was not at all what I was
expecting. Interesting if you are a software developer, but otherwise, not.

I think that the presenter did not know who the intended audience was. Or
the presentation was not marketed properly, so that the right audience would
attend.
