This workshop will be taught by EDSL developers and provide an insight into the latest TAS updates and how TAS integrates into a BIM workflow. TAS Engineering is the complete Dynamic Building Simulation package. TAS Engineering has a modular design and is split into three main programs, the TAS 3D Modeller, TAS Building Simulator, and TAS Systems. The intuitive Windows interface has features such as undo/redo, drag drop, context menus etc. all making the software more productive and easier to use. The program architecture clearly defines the simulation workflow process facilitating methodical working by the Engineer. EDSL also develops a 2D CFD tool called Ambiens, an Airscoop and Sunscoop Builder and a Thermal Mass Builder to incorporate phase change materials in the building design.

In this exclusive demo EDSL expert TAS users and developers will demonstrate the intelligent solid modeller, TAS 3D Modeller. This demonstration will focus on the use of gbXML files from Autodesk's Revit as the basis of a TAS analysis, the issues commonly encountered with gbXML files, and the tools built into TAS to deal with these issues. We will show the integrated fast and accurate, multi-core enabled advanced daylighting simulation capability within the same program as well as a fast and accurate coupled building and HVAC systems simulation capability for efficient building design.

EDSL's TAS software enables efficient, comfortable, and affordable building design from early concept analysis, with daylighting/solar analysis and load reduction studies, through to advanced HVAC and controls simulation for CO2 and cost analysis.

Presented by EDSL TAS software experts and developers.
