Systems from PSZ-HP to PTHP

Hi Folks,

I am modelling an apartment. For this I have air handling units with cooling type DX coils and heating type DX coil heat pump. I've modelled it as PSZ-HP in the proposed model and PTHP in the Baseline model. Now can I change in the proposed model to PTHP from PSZ-HP. If I do this I get savings. Is this appropriate? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
Pramod

Hi Pramod,

System reference PTHP or PSZ-HP should be referred only in baseline
model. Your
proposed model should reflect your actual equipment type and capacity. If
you have "Packaged terminal air conditioner" in your proposed design, then
you can change the proposed model to reflect the same.

*Thanks*

Sir:

I am suspicious the savings is in FAN energy. The Base system may have continuous fan and the Proposed a cycling fa.
