Setting Country Locations in Equest

Good Day,

I am new to Equest and I see there is only the option for selecting US
states and cities.

I need to model a building outside the US, is there any way around this?

I also downloaded the Canadian version but similar issue.

I assume the location settings are for the climatic data, is it not possible
to modify the settings?

Many Thanks

Regards

Damon:
Check out the DOE2.com site. There is a weather tab, which will go to different locations around the world.
What country are you looking for?

Yes Damon-- John is right, eQuest can model other country weather files,
but you have to download them and reference them yourself within eQuest.
When you go to select the location in the wizard drop down menu, choose the
"user specified" option and then you can point to the weather file you want
to use. Be sure to download your weather file and place it into the
"Weather" folder that is found in the eQuest DATA folder in your 'My
Documents' area.

The weather files on the EnergyPlus website can easily be converted to use with eQuest. There is a wider range of locations on the EnergyPlus site. You have to use the eQ_WthProc program from the doe2.com website to convert the EnergyPlus .epw weather file to the .bin format required for eQuest.

Hi,

You could also download Elements
and generate.bin directly
from .epw file (downloaded from .epw source). This software also gives you
a flexibility in editing weather files.

Hope this helps!!
