We would like to invite you to our 2013-2014 kickoff meeting!

The event will begin with a brief introduction to the new board of
directors of the IBPSA Boston chapter, and then move on to opening the
floor for interaction and discussion among building science academics and
professionals. For this occasion, a select group of attendees to this
year's Building Simulation 2013 Conference will briefly present the key
findings of the conference paper that each found most interesting, relevant
and groundbreaking. Discussion will focus on the potential impact of these
findings on the future of professional practice.

The speakers for this session will be:
Carlos Cerezo -- PhD student in Building Technology (BT), MIT
Timur Dogan -- PhD student in BT, MIT
Diego Ibarra -- -- PhD student in in Energy and Environment, Harvard GSD
Nathaniel Jones -- PhD student in BT, MIT

Brian Simmons - Energy Engineer at Retroficiency in Boston
The event will be held on *Wednesday September 18th at 6:30pm at Gund Hall
room 123*, and will be followed by networking at a nearby pub.

*Parking has been made available for the IBPSA-Boston event in the nearby
Broadway Garage (7 Felton St. Cambridge) for $6. However, you must prepay
at the following website! There is limited availability on a first come
first serve basis. Here are the instructions: The online link for the One

cgi-bin/permit/purchase.pl. Please note that, when registering as a
visitor, you will be asked for a department name and code; use the
following:
DEPARTMENT NAME: Visitor to Campus
DEPARTMENT CODE: 7700
You will need to have the license plate of the vehicle you are driving in
that day in order to complete the transaction. Once you pay via credit
card, you will need to print the permit itself (printed receipts will not
be accepted). Guests will be directed to park on the third floor and above.
The permit will be valid from 5pm until 11:30pm that day.
